James "Zach" Staten Job Summary/Basic Functions The CFII and/or MEI will provide flight, simulator, and ground instruction in accordance with Part 61 and Part 141 FAA regulations, FAA Airmen's Information Manual, advisory circulars, airport operations, and EKU policies and procedures. Schedule students, maintain training records, and ensure that course standards, training requirements, and objectives are met by each student in the Private Pilot, Instrument Rating, Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor, and/or Multiengine training courses. Minimum Qualifications Education High School diploma is required. Experience FAA Flight Instructor Certificate•Airplane Single Engine; Instrument Airplane (CFII) is required. FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate•Airplane Single Engine Land is required. 300+ hours of flight time is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree is preferred. FAA Flight Instructor Certificate•Airplane Multiengine is preferred. FAA Commercial Pilot Certificate•Airplane Multiengine Land is preferred. Proficiency in the Cessna 172 or other high-wing, fixed tricycle-gear training aircraft is preferred. Proficiency in the Piper Seminole is preferred (MEI only).
