Technicians and gain ALARNG membership, all current federal employees, all U.S. Citizens Duties Help (1) Manages the ARNG aviion program of the ste which includes planning, coordining, implementing and directing all aviion assets within the ste. Direct responsibility includes, but is not limited to, management of all aircraft maintenance and logistics programs, aircrew training program, additional flight training program, personnel management, facilities planning, resource programming and budgeting, policy development and implemention, aviion safety and aircraft accident prevention programs and aviion support for the accomplishment of various missions including support of county, ste and federal agencies. Acts as the principle aviion advisor to the Adjutant General, and as a liaison with all organizions concerning mters relevant to aviion support. Coordines and manages force structure, force modernizion and force integrion actions affecting ste aviion units. Determines program goals and priorities and coordines joint activities with other agencies. Conducts staff conferences to determine budget impacts caused by increased costs, changes in programs and policies, changes in mission/weapons system, requirements for new or remodeled facilities, etc. Approves all Ste annual budget requests for aviion logistics, operions and training, and safety prior to submission for final Nional Guard Bureau approval. Manages all resources, including money, alloced to the stes for aviion and aviion safety, and approves all changes which may need to be made due to unforeseen problems. Provides guidance on aviion training to major and subordine unit commanders to maximize the integrion of aircrew training with the Army Training and Evaluion Program and Combined Arms Training. Reviews, verifies prerequisites and approves all NGB Form 64 applicions for AVN Training TRADOC or AATS Courses of Instruction. Ensures usage of AFTPs are within the resources alloced to the ste. Reviews and implements the Aircrew Informion Report (AIR) and certifies th the de within the AIR is accure. (2) Provides program direction and staff leadership in the administrion of a comprehensive safety, occupional health, and industrial hygiene program th encompass a variety of high risk and hazardous operions. Administers and evalues various Safety, Occupional Health and Industrial Hygiene (SOH & IH) programs involving aircraft maintenance, heavy/light equipment and vehicle maintenance, supply and ammunition storage, fire prevention, range certificion, comb and tactical training, and administrive activities. (3) Provides technical management and supervisory direction over technicians and aviion facilities dispersed throughout the ste. Deleges authority to subordine supervisors (AASF Commanders). Through subordine supervisors, directs a sizeable General Schedule and Wage Grade work force (typically 80 or more employees). Discusses and reviews personnel management practices to ensure effective trement and proper motivion of the work force. Evalues work performance of supervisors and reviews evaluions made by supervisors. Actively participes in the selection of supervisory personnel. Reviews and resolves serious disciplinary cases (i.e., those proposing suspensions and removals). (4) Controls the aviion program for the ste, including requirements and limitions in the force for Army aircraft, organic as well as external to the ste when those assets are utilized in support of any Nional Guard activity with the exception of NGB managed AATS programs. Works with federal and nonfederal aviion officials within the ste for use of airspace and the promotion of aviion safety in such instances as training, operional and support missions which may utilize Night Vision Devices (NVD), conducted under tactical and nontactical scenarios, in visual and instrument meteorological conditions. (5) Must comply with provisions of the U.S. Army Aircrew Training program as a pilot in an Army aircraft assigned to the ste. GENERAL EXPERIENCE

Air Nional Guard Dual Stus Officer positions. For Army and Air Nional Guard positions, must have least three years working experiences in civilian aviion programs; or, military service aviion programs (active duty or reserve components); or, in the Army Nional Guard Aviion Support facilities; or, Air Nional Guard Operions Groups. Qualificion competencies are determined by three factors: The aircraft opered; the nure and purpose of assignments; and, the degree of hazard. Experienced in piloting and instructing pilot skills in one or more of the following main-frame/military aircraft: Fixed-wing, rotary, or remotely piloted aircraft (RPA). Although a variety of piloting administrive tasks are performed in support of an Air Nional Guard aviion program, the required competence for this grade includes the abilities to train and instruct others in the piloting of a specified main-frame military aircraft. Experienced in reading and applying mission tasks, intelligence reports, and weher informion. Experienced in supervising and conducting mission planning, mission preparions, filing flight plans, and conducting crew briefings. Experienced in aircraft preflight inspections, aircraft loading, equipment assessments, and mission manning. Experienced in opering aircraft controls and equipment. Experienced in performing and supervising the work procedures involved in navigion, in-flight refueling; search and rescue operions; and, surveillance and reconnaissance missions. Experienced in conducting and supervising crew member training on simple to complex mission specific tasks. Experienced in developing plans and policies, monitoring operions, and briefing commanders. Experienced in flight theory, air navigion, meteorology, flying directives, aircraft opering procedures, and mission tactics. Experienced in planning and preparing for missions; and, experienced in piloting and instructing others in piloting specific air-frame/military aircraft. Experienced in various piloting administrive tasks performed in support of Army or Air Nional Guard aviion programs. Experienced in aviion unit quality control management programs. Experienced in the unit flying, explosive, and ground safety programs in accordance with Department of the Air Force, Nional Guard Bureau, and Occupional Safety and Health Administrion directives. Experienced in applying directives, regulions, accident reports, safety da, and local opering conditions to determine unit safety program requirements. Experienced in flying operions and coordining with approprie agencies to ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulions and programs.
