Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced VFR Helicopter Pilot to join a leading air medical operation based in Oracle, Arizona.
This is an opportunity to combine professional aviation experience with a mission that directly impacts patients and communities. Pilots operate in a demanding air medical environment where safety, sound decision-making, professionalism, and teamwork are paramount.
The position offers a 7-on/7-off schedule, sign-on bonus of up to $100,000, relocation assistance, competitive compensation, and a comprehensive benefits package.
Aircraft & Operations
AS350 VFR/NVG
operations
Instrument Rating required
24-hour operation with day/night rotation
Air medical operations conducted under CAMTS guidelines
Perform line pilot duties in accordance with company operating procedures
Participate in company safety programs and Safety Management System initiatives
Work closely with medical crews, aviation personnel, customers, and community partners
Participate in community outreach programs as required
Assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment when necessary
If aircraft transition training is required, a minimum one-year service commitment may apply.
If the company relocation package is utilized, a minimum two-year service commitment may apply.
Minimum Pilot Qualifications
Candidates must possess:
Commercial Helicopter Certificate
Instrument Helicopter Rating
First Class Medical Certificate
2,000 hours total flight time
1,500 hours helicopter
1,000 hours PIC
- Helicopter
500 hours turbine helicopter
100 hours unaided night operations
OR
50 hours unaided night
100 hours Night Vision Goggles (NVG)
Candidates must meet all applicable company and CAMTS requirements.
Additional Requirements
Must meet and maintain the companys flight personnel weight restriction of 235 lbs. or less
Must successfully complete customer/management interview and acceptance process
Must successfully complete pre-placement physical examination
Must successfully complete functional capacity assessment, including strength and flexibility testing
Must be capable of lifting 100 lbs. to assist with loading and unloading patients and equipment
Must successfully complete required drug screening and background screening
Strong internal and external customer service skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Schedule & Residency Requirements
Schedule:
7 days on / 7 days off
Operations include both day and night rotations. The specific day of the week on which the base changes schedules may vary, and occasional schedule changes may be required.
Candidates must reside within a one-hour or less commute of the Oracle, Arizona base.
Relocation assistance is available.
