Flightpath Air is seeking an accomplished and highly professional GulfstreamG550 Captain to join our flight department based at Hollywood Burbank Airport (KBUR). This is a premium private aviation position for an experienced captain who takes pride in exceptional airmanship, sound judgment, discretion, and the highest standards of client service. Our G550 operation supports domestic and international travel for discerning clients and requires a pilot who is comfortable operating a long-range Gulfstream in a dynamic, high-service environment.
THE POSITION
As G550 Captain, you will have primary responsibility for the safe and professional operation of the aircraft and the overall conduct of each flight. The successful candidate will be an experienced corporate aviation professional who combines strong technical capability with the judgment, maturity, discretion, and service orientation expected in a premium private aviation environment. We are looking for a Captain who understands that operating a Gulfstream is about more than flying the aircraft - it is about anticipating requirements, managing risk, protecting client privacy, and delivering an exceptional experience from departure to arrival.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 5,000
hours total flight time 1,500 hours Jet PIC FAA Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) certificate Current FAA First-Class Medical Certificate Significant turbine and large-cabin business jet experience Strong instrument and international operating experience Demonstrated command experience and sound aeronautical decision-making Valid passport with ability to travel internationally Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Strong commitment to safety, professionalism, and operational excellence
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Gulfstream G550 Captain experience Current or previous Gulfstream type rating
G500/G550/G600/G650
experience Extensive Part 91 corporate aviation experience International and long-range operations experience Experience supporting executive, VIP, or high-net-worth clientele Experience with complex international trip planning and operations Strong CRM and threat-and-error management skills

CAPTAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Assume command responsibility for the safe operation of the Gulfstream G550 Ensure all flights are conducted in accordance with applicable regulations, company procedures, and established safety standards Conduct comprehensive flight planning and operational risk assessments Evaluate weather, NOTAMs, aircraft performance, fuel requirements, routing, alternates, and international operating requirements Maintain exceptional knowledge of the aircraft and its systems Lead and effectively manage the flight crew Maintain a high standard of aircraft presentation and operational readiness Provide discreet, polished, and personalized service to passengers Coordinate effectively with maintenance, operations, ground support, and other company personnel Maintain accurate flight, aircraft, and regulatory records Maintain all required qualifications, currency, and training Represent Flightpath Air professionally at all times and at every destination
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate is an experienced corporate captain who is technically strong, calm under pressure, highly professional, and exceptionally service-oriented. You should be equally comfortable managing a complex international operation, making conservative operational decisions, leading a crew, and interacting professionally with discerning passengers.
