Captain - Yacht Charter Operations Join the Calico Yacht Charter Team Calico Yacht Charter is growing, and we're looking for experienced, professional, and hospitality-driven Captains to join our team in Marina del Rey. As a well-established brand and a staple in the Marina del Rey yacht charter industry, we take pride in delivering exceptional experiences on the water while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service. If you enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests and working alongside a talented team of maritime professionals, we'd love to hear from you. Position Overview Our Captains are responsible for the safe operation of our vessels while serving as ambassadors for the Calico Yacht Charter brand. Beyond seamanship and vessel management, our Captains play a key role in creating an enjoyable, welcoming, and memorable experience for every guest aboard. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, professional, personable, and comfortable interacting with guests from all backgrounds. Minimum Qualifications Valid Merchant Mariner Credential (MMC) Valid TWIC Card Current CPR / First Aid Certification Strong knowledge of vessel operations and navigation Excellent communication and customer service skills Professional appearance and demeanor Ability to work weekends, holidays, and flexible schedules Responsibilities Safely operate company vessels in accordance with all applicable regulations Conduct pre-departure vessel inspections and safety checks Deliver comprehensive passenger safety briefings Ensure the safety and comfort of all guests and crew Maintain vessel cleanliness and presentation standards Coordinate with stewardesses and deck crew to deliver exceptional guest experiences Represent Calico Yacht Charter with professionalism both on and off the vessel Preferred Qualifications Previous charter vessel experience Experience operating passenger vessels in Southern California waters Strong hospitality and guest service background Local knowledge of Marina del Rey, Santa Monica Bay, and surrounding coastal areas Why Join Calico?
