SPIFR HAA
operations, flying critical care missions across California and the Western U.S. In this role, you will operate IFR-capable helicopters for emergency scene response and interfacility transports, ensuring safe, efficient flight in complex environments and challenging conditions. You'll perform detailed pre-flight planning, weather and risk assessments, and collaborate closely with clinicians, dispatch, hospitals, EMS, and public safety partners. Responsibilities Operate IFR-capable medical helicopters for emergency and interfacility transports Ensure strict adherence to FAA, company, and safety protocols in all flight operations Conduct pre-flight planning, weather assessment, and risk evaluation Collaborate with medical crew, dispatch, and ground partners for mission execution Maintain aircraft readiness, perform inspections, and document flight activities Participate in ongoing training, check rides, and simulation exercises Communicate clearly with ATC, hospitals, EMS, and public safety agencies Support mission readiness through flexible scheduling, including nights and weekends Required Skills IFR helicopter operations Air medical/EMS aviation procedures Advanced aircraft systems knowledge Pre-flight planning and risk assessment Weather analysis and decision-making Radio and ATC communication Night vision goggle (NVG) operations Crew resource management (CRM) Aviation safety and SMS practices Regulatory compliance (FAA Part 135/air medical)
