AI is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Drone Pilot to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in the telecommunications industry, utilizing drone technology to support various projects, including site surveys, inspections, and data collection for telecommunications infrastructure and other professional lidar scanning services. This role requires a strong understanding of Federal Aviation Regulations and the ability to work in diverse environments, including military and civilian settings. The Drone Pilot will play a crucial role in capturing high-quality imagery and data while ensuring compliance with all safety regulations. Duties Operate drones for aerial surveys, inspections, and mapping of telecommunications sites, including cell towers, building installments, and other infrastructure as needed. Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly. Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, safety guidelines, and company policies while operating drones. Capture high-quality aerial imagery for analysis and reporting. Analyze data collected from drone flights to provide insights and recommendations for project improvements. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to support telecommunications projects. Maintain detailed records of drone operations, including flight logs and maintenance schedules. Troubleshoot technical issues with drone equipment as needed. Stay current with advancements in drone technology and industry best practices. Requirements Valid drone pilot certification in accordance with Federal Aviation Regulations (Part 107). Proven experience as a drone operator, preferably in the telecommunications sector. Proficiency in drone operation, including flight planning and data collection. Familiarity with drone mapping and flight automation software. Strong understanding of telecommunications infrastructure and related technologies. Experience with LiDAR and photogrammetry applications. Knowledge of RF (radio frequency) principles and telecommunications standards. Previous experience working in remote or challenging environments, and ability to adapt to various operational scenarios, including militarized settings when required. Mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and maintain drone equipment effectively. Strong communication skills in English; ability to work collaboratively within a team environment, or independently as needed. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. High level of technical adaptability with experience using numerous software applications and technology platforms.
