Job Description

STS Technical Services is hiring IFR Pilots to serve as EC135 Captains in Palestine, Texas. This is an opportunity to join a life-saving aviation team supporting air medical transport operations with a strong focus on safety, precision and operational excellence. Qualified pilots will fly critical care missions under CAMTS guidelines while operating in SPIFR and NVG environments. This role includes a sign-on bonus up to $50,000, off-duty housing and a 7&7 schedule. Position Overview The IFR Pilot EC135 Captain will perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual while safely conducting day and night air medical missions. This role supports 24-hour operations with rotating day and night shifts and requires professionalism, sound judgment and a commitment to patient, crew and community safety. EC135 SPIFR / NVG operations Instrument rating required 24-hour operations with rotating day and night shifts Strong safety culture focused on operational excellence Key Responsibilities Perform line pilot duties in accordance with the General Operations Manual Safely conduct day and night air medical missions Assist with loading and unloading patients and medical equipment as required Support Safety Management System initiatives and safety campaigns Participate in community outreach programs Provide professional and courteous service to internal and external customers Compensation and Benefits Sign-on bonus up to $50,000 Competitive base compensation Shift bonuses and shift incentives Annual safety bonus Annual employee bonus Comprehensive benefits package Off-duty housing provided Minimum Qualifications Commercial Helicopter Rating Instrument Helicopter Rating First Class Medical Certificate Strong verbal and written communication skills Demonstrated internal and external customer service skills Must meet flight personnel weight restriction of 235 lbs. or less CAMTS Minimum Flight Time Requirements 2,000 total flight hours 1,500 helicopter hours 1,000 PIC helicopter hours 500 turbine helicopter hours 100 hours unaided night or 50 hours unaided night plus 100 hours NVG 75 hours instrument time, actual and hood Screening Requirements Candidates must be able to pass: Pre-placement physical and functional capacity exam, including lifting up to 100 lbs. Drug screening and background check Interview and acceptance by management Annual flu vaccine is not required.
