Overview Join our dynamic team as a Cargo Van Driver and take on an energetic role that keeps our operations moving smoothly! In this position, you will be the vital link between our warehouse and customers, delivering goods efficiently and providing exceptional customer service along the way. Your driving skills, attention to safety, and ability to handle physical tasks will ensure timely deliveries and satisfied clients. Responsibilities Safely operate a cargo van to deliver goods across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload cargo using manual lifting techniques and pallet jacks when necessary, ensuring items are secure for transit. Manage route driving efficiently, optimizing delivery schedules to meet deadlines while maintaining safety standards. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries, answering questions, and addressing concerns. Assist with warehouse tasks such as inventory management, moving stock within the facility, and maintaining accurate delivery documentation. Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure proper functioning of the vehicle's manual transmission and safety features. Maintain detailed logs of deliveries, pickups, load & unload activities, and mileage for operational records. Qualifications Proven experience as a delivery driver or courier with a focus on route driving in a commercial setting. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience operating a box truck or similar vehicle preferred. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally. Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and perform moving tasks safely; experience with heavy lifting is a plus. Familiarity with warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts; certification is advantageous. Knowledge of local traffic laws and regulations related to commercial driving.
