Job Description
Come do meaningful work with a team that cares deeply about the people we serve and about each other. Calaveras County Behavioral Health Services is looking for a dependable, compassionate, and safety-minded Transportation Officer to join our team and help connect individuals in our community with the care and services they need. This position is about much more than driving from one place to another. Transportation can be the difference between someone making it to an important appointment, returning home safely after treatment, accessing needed behavioral health services, or staying connected to their care. As a Transportation Officer, you will play an important role in helping remove barriers, supporting continuity of care, and providing clients with a respectful and dependable experience along the way. Who we are matters just as much as what we do. At Calaveras County Behavioral Health, we are intentionally building a culture rooted in compassion, collaboration, accountability, mindfulness, and connection. We believe great service begins with how we show up for our clients, our community, and one another. We are looking for someone who is reliable, professional, patient, and comfortable working with people from many different backgrounds and life circumstances. Someone who communicates well, takes ownership of their responsibilities, supports their teammates, prioritizes safety, and understands that even a simple interaction can have a meaningful impact on someone's day. If you are looking for work with purpose, value being part of a supportive and evolving team, and want the opportunity to help people access care throughout our rural community, we would love to hear from you. Under supervision, transports/accompanies clients to a variety of sites; provides assistance with personal care, safety and needs; does related work as required.
