Job Description

Position Overview:
The Veteran Outreach Specialist will serve as a key representative of our mission by meeting with potential veteran clients, fostering partnerships with veteran service organizations and other local veteran and community groups, and promoting awareness of available services.
Key Responsibilities:
Drive to and from outreach events, meetings, and one-on-one visits with potential clients. Conduct in-person outreach to identify and engage veterans in need of support. Develop and maintain relationships with community-based veteran organizations, service officers, and other stakeholders. Attend and participate in community events, veteran group meetings, and informational sessions to represent the organization. Track outreach activities and submit weekly reports. Communicate program offerings clearly and compassionately to veterans and their families, successfully converting them into clients. Serve as a knowledgeable, professional, and trustworthy liaison between the organization and the veteran community.
Requirements:
Prior military service or significant experience working with veterans is strongly preferred. Passion for serving the veteran community and understanding of veteran-specific challenges and resources. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Reliable vehicle and valid driver s license with current insurance meeting minimum state guidelines. Ability to manage a flexible schedule and work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to pass a background check. Access to a phone with data that can be used for work purposes. Personal computer/laptop with webcam. Ability to use Microsoft Office programs.
Contract Details:
This is a 1099 independent contractor position with the possibility of transitioning to a W-2 employee after a 60-day probationary period.
Compensation:
$21-$24/hr with $200 verified client referral bonuses. (Client must enroll in at least 10 hours of care). Approximately 20 hours per week of work. Mileage is reimbursed after the initial 30 miles, or a company vehicle may be offered in lieu of mileage. Flexible schedule with the majority of hours spent traveling locally (at least 75% travel).
