Job Summary We are seeking dedicated, reliable and trustworthy Independent Contractor Drivers to provide safe and dependable transportation for children during the 2026-2027 school year. This role is vital in providing peace of mind to parents and guardians by delivering exceptional customer service while adhering to all safety and traffic regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, excellent communication abilities, and a genuine passion for working with children. This paid position offers an engaging opportunity to make a positive impact on young lives through responsible and caring transportation services. Job Requirements Must be at least 25 years of age Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Reliable, well-maintained vehicle that meets all applicable safety and insurance requirements Ability to pass a criminal background check Ability to pass a drug screening Dependable, punctual, and professional Excellent communication and customer service skills Comfortable working with children and committed to providing safe, courteous, and reliable transportation. Ability to use a smartphone. Must be authorized to work as an independent contractor. Responsibilities Follow all state transportation regulations, traffic laws, and safety protocols during daily operations. Assist children with boarding and exiting vehicles, ensuring proper seat belt use and safety procedures are followed. Maintain clear communication with parents, guardians, and school staff regarding transportation schedules or delays. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly. Ensure the vehicle is clean, organized, and well-maintained at all times to promote a safe environment. Adhere to scheduled routes while managing time efficiently to ensure punctual pickups and drop-offs. Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or in shuttle driving roles with a focus on passenger safety. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments. Knowledge of local driving routes, heavy lifting techniques for luggage or equipment, and adherence to state transportation regulations. Ability to handle emergency situations calmly while maintaining safety standards.
Pay:
$15.00 - $18.00 per hour
