Job Summary Mariam Transportt is seeking a dynamic and dependable driver to join our team and deliver exceptional transportation services. In this role, you will be responsible for safely transporting passengers and goods across various OTR routes, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining excellent customer service. Your expertise in operating different types of passenger and cargo vehicles, combined with your knowledge of traffic regulations and navigation tools, will contribute to our reputation for reliability and professionalism. Responsibilities Operate a variety of vehicles including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousines, and personal delivery vans, adhering to all traffic laws and safety standards. Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, cleanliness, and proper maintenance. Navigate efficiently using GPS systems to meet delivery schedules and passenger pick-up/drop-off times. Assist passengers with boarding and exiting vehicles, providing excellent customer service throughout the journey. Handle heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or luggage, ensuring proper manual handling techniques are followed. Communicate clearly with clients regarding pick-up times, routes, and any delays or issues that arise during transit. Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance needs. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, chauffeur, or shuttle operator with a strong safety record. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., commercial license for buses or limousines). Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and local driving routes. Knowledge of state transportation regulations and passenger vehicle operation standards. Excellent communication skills for interacting professionally with clients and team members. Ability to perform manual handling tasks safely and efficiently in various environments. Prior experience in medical transportation or client-specific delivery services is a plus. Strong understanding of vehicle maintenance routines to ensure optimal performance. Ability to adhere strictly to traffic regulations while providing courteous customer service on every trip.
