Location:
Chicago, IL We are looking for reliable and responsible Independent Contractor Drivers to provide safe and dependable transportation for students to and from school. The ideal candidate has previous experience transporting passengers and is comfortable working with children and families. CPS clearance is required , and candidates who already have CPS clearance are strongly preferred. Responsibilities Safely transport students to and from school and designated locations. Provide safe, professional, and courteous service to students and their families. Follow assigned routes and scheduled pickup/drop-off times. Maintain a clean, safe, and properly maintained vehicle. Communicate promptly regarding delays, schedule changes, or transportation issues. Follow all applicable student transportation and safety requirements. Requirements Valid driver's license and clean driving record. Reliable personal vehicle that meets transportation requirements. Previous experience transporting passengers is required. CPS clearance is required. Must be dependable, punctual, and safety-focused. Must be comfortable transporting school-age children. Ability to communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and dispatch. Preferred Qualifications Existing CPS clearance. Previous school transportation, NEMT, rideshare, paratransit, or passenger transportation experience. Large-capacity vehicle , such as a minivan or SUV, is highly preferred.
