Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and dependable Independent Contractor Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will operate various passenger and freight vehicles, providing safe, efficient, and courteous transportation services. Whether delivering packages, shuttling clients, or transporting passengers, your focus will be on ensuring a seamless experience for all clients while adhering to traffic laws and safety standards. This position offers flexibility and independence, perfect for drivers who thrive on variety and autonomy in their work. Responsibilities Safely operate a range of vehicles including passenger vans, shuttle buses, limousine services, and personal delivery vehicles across local routes. Navigate efficiently using GPS navigation systems to ensure timely deliveries and pickups. Provide excellent customer service by communicating clearly with clients, answering questions professionally, and ensuring a positive experience. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance to keep vehicles in optimal condition. Assist with heavy lifting when loading or unloading cargo or luggage, following proper manual handling procedures. Comply with all applicable state transportation regulations and traffic laws to ensure safety for yourself and others. Maintain accurate logs of trips, deliveries, mileage, and vehicle condition reports as required. Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver or shuttle driver with a strong understanding of local driving routes. Experience operating passenger vehicles such as vans, limousines, or shuttle buses; bus driving or chauffeur experience is highly desirable. Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type; commercial driver's license (CDL) preferred for certain roles. Familiarity with GPS navigation systems and route planning tools. Ability to handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting safely and efficiently. Excellent communication skills for client interaction and reporting purposes. Knowledge of state transportation regulations and safety standards applicable to passenger and freight transport. Prior experience in medical transportation or school bus driving is a plus but not required. Strong customer service orientation with a professional appearance and demeanor.
