Vernon, Illinois, United States Job Description Because Walgreens Distribution Center serves our retail stores, just know that there will be times when overtime may be mandatory. This could be coming in earlier, staying over, or even potentially coming in on your day off. This does happen around our busy seasons like holidays. You will be trained on the lift trucks (45-day progress summary) and most of your day will center around the lift trucks. There is one called the turret truck that you would be lifted several stories high, you will be fully strapped into safety gear, so would you be okay with dealing with heights? Lifting, carrying, and stacking cases onto pallets - up to 50 lbs The workday will have a lot of standing and reaching in order to perform essential job duties. You will experience a good deal of walking and moving around. This includes climbing in and out of the reach trucks.
