This energetic position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact on our community by ensuring clients arrive at their appointments comfortably and on time. As an NEMT-Driver, you will be the friendly face and dependable driver that clients trust for their essential travel needs, all while maintaining high standards of safety and professionalism. Responsibilities Safely operate vans to transport clients to medical appointments, pharmacies, and other destinations. Assist passengers with mobility challenges and securement of mobility devices. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure optimal safety and performance. Communicate clearly with clients to provide excellent customer service, answer questions, and ensure a positive experience. Follow all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during every trip. Maintain accurate logs of trips, mileage, and client information in compliance with regulatory standards. Collaborate with dispatch and support staff to coordinate schedules and optimize routes efficiently. Experience Prior shuttle driving or delivery driver experience is highly preferred. Experience operating buses, limousines, or commercial vehicles such as heavy-duty trucks or school buses is a plus. Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members. Knowledge of paratransit services or specialized transportation for individuals with disabilities is advantageous. Ability to perform lifting safely when assisting passengers or handling equipment. Valid driver's license appropriate for commercial driving; CDL license is a plus. Familiarity with vehicle maintenance routines to ensure safety standards are met consistently.
