Job Description

Overview Loving Hearts of LA is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Service Worker (DSW) to join our team in providing exceptional support and care to individuals with diverse needs on an ON-CALL basis. This vital role involves working closely with children, youth, and adults who experience developmental disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, and other health challenges. As a DSW, you will play a key role in promoting independence, safety, and well-being through personalized care. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.
Duties:
Medication Reminders Assisting with Personal Hygiene tasks Meal Preparation & Feeding Assistance with Bathing Minor Housekeeping Assisting with Community Outings Monitoring and Supervision of Well-being Complete all paperwork as required including progress notes Ensure the safety and wellbeing of the person supported Transportation (community outings, doctor visits, etc.) Qualifications You must have reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and maintain automobile insurance. Must be willing to transport clients in personal vehicle. Experience working with children and individuals with developmental disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders such as autism spectrum disorder Ability to perform first aid and CPR certifications upon hire or willingness to obtain them promptly and maintain valid certifications Strong communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and documentation purposes
Physical Job Requirements Include:
Lifting to 100lbs Standing for prolonged periods of time Pushing and Pulling up to 50lbs Join us in making a positive impact by providing essential support that empowers individuals to thrive. Pay:
$9.00 - $13.50 per hour
