Job Description
Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Student Transporter to ensure the safe and reliable transportation of students to and from school or community programs. This vital role involves operating vehicles responsibly, assisting students during transit, and maintaining a positive, safe environment for all passengers. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing excellent service, demonstrating safety awareness, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere for students of all ages. Responsibilities Safely operate school buses or community transport vehicles according to traffic laws and organizational policies Assist students with boarding, exiting, and securing themselves on the vehicle, ensuring their safety at all times Maintain punctuality by adhering to scheduled pick-up and drop-off times while managing route schedules efficiently Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues promptly Provide friendly support and guidance to students during transit, addressing their needs with patience and professionalism Follow all safety protocols, including emergency procedures, to respond effectively in case of incidents or accidents Keep accurate records of trips, student attendance, and vehicle maintenance logs as required Skills Prior experience in student transportation is highly desirable Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; specialized vehicle licenses are a plus. Strong commitment to ensuring passenger safety at all times Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact positively with students, parents, and staff Ability to remain calm under pressure and handle unexpected situations professionally Join us in making a difference by providing safe, reliable transportation that supports our community's children and residents.
