Responsibilities Safely operate passenger vehicles such as vans, shuttles, or specialized medical transport vehicles to move patients efficiently across local routes Assist patients with boarding and disembarking, ensuring comfort and safety during transit Maintain clear communication with healthcare staff and clients to coordinate pick-up and drop-off times accurately Follow all traffic laws, state transportation regulations, and safety protocols to ensure compliance and secure transportation Perform routine vehicle inspections, basic maintenance checks, and report any mechanical issues promptly Handle heavy lifting when necessary to assist patients with mobility aids or luggage while adhering to manual handling safety standards Maintain detailed logs of trips, mileage, and patient information in accordance with privacy policies and organizational procedures Requirements Proven experience as a delivery driver, bus driver, shuttle driver, or in similar passenger vehicle operation roles Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type (e.g., CDL for larger vehicles) with a clean driving record Familiarity with GPS navigation systems for efficient route planning and real-time navigation Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is highly desirable Strong communication skills to interact professionally with patients, healthcare staff, and clients Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and handle manual tasks related to patient assistance Knowledge of local driving routes, traffic regulations, and safety standards governing passenger vehicles Excellent customer service skills with a compassionate approach to patient care Basic vehicle maintenance knowledge to identify issues early and ensure vehicle safety Join us as a Patient Transport Driver where your driving expertise meets compassionate service.
