Job Description
Requirements Valid Driver's License preferred; able to physically lift and/or assist any student as required by needs and at a minimum of 50 pounds. Continual walking or standing; frequent bending or twisting at the neck and trunk; repetitive hand, arm, finger motions; hand strength to grasp tools; visual abilities including close vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision. Description We are continually seeking daily substitute monitors to work various locations in Northampton and Monroe County on an as needed basis. We will work with your availability. The monitor is to assist the driver and students in a safe, efficient manner; maintain discipline; establish positive relationships; compile reports as required; meet the physical needs of the students with special needs by assisting students on/off vehicle, proper utilization of equipment; assist driver in contacting parents due to breakdowns or inclement weather; maintain confidentiality in all matters; assist driving in maintaining a clean and orderly vehicle; assist driver in checking the entire bus at the completion of each student run; assist driver in maintaining daily changes of assignments; other duties as assigned. Application Procedure As openings occur, your application packet will be screened and reviewed by the program administrator. If you are selected for an interview, you will be contact by the administrator regarding an interview date and time. If you are recommended as a finalist for a position, you will need to have all credentials (License, 3 Clearances, School Personnel Health Record) submitted in order to be recommended to the Colonial Intermediate Unit 20 Board of Directors for hire. This will include completing an Employment Eligibility Verification Form I-9 and showing originals of documents you wish to submit to establish employment identity and work authorization. This will be handled through the Recruitment Office. School Personnel Health Form - READ
