Cannabis Delivery - (Transport Agent)

Pay Rate:
$18.00/hour Job description: Providing a secure and safe transportation of medical & recreational cannabis within the boundaries of the State of Illinois. As a Transport Agent, you will be responsible for a secure, compliant, and efficient delivery of cannabis products from a centralized location to licensed cannabis businesses, majority of which are dispensaries. This role demands attention to detail to ensure safety and maintain compliance with all state cannabis transport laws, rules and regulations. You will work with a partner to help with driving long hours and distances as well as ensuring security, honesty and accountability. Flexibility is a MUST as start times and end of day times vary. Some days and weeks are longer than others or equally the same.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Safely transport cannabis products to dispensary locations across the state, while ensuring compliance and regulations throughout the delivery process enforced by Illinois Department of Agriculture, Illinois State Police and Illinois Department of Finance and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) Ensuring that you are loading and unloading the correct product from location to location. Utilize GPS tools to ensure efficient route navigation, timely deliveries and ensuring that you are always within State boundaries. (Real time monitoring and tracking help us ensure we meet with compliances) Work with management to streamline the delivery process, communication amongst transporters, dispensary management, sales teams and inventory teams about product concerns, delivery delays, reschedules, cancelations or rejections. Conduct daily vehicle maintenance checks to ensure the safe operation and cleanliness of company vehicles. While also reporting any new damages or address any mechanical concerns.
Requirements:
Security or asset management background PERC card (not required, but preferred)
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (Drivers Abstract is Required via DMV) Minimum 1 year of professional work-related driving experience Eligible to work in the United States Must be at least 21 years old Ability to lift up to 75 lbs.
unassisted Must successfully pass a Federal & State criminal background check Practices good time management Ability to maintain a positive attitude and patience Quick thinking and able to adapt to changes Observant and vigilant Customer service skills Exceptional communication skills oral and written Schedule flexibility Ability to drive long hours while being able to quickly adapt to different weather and traffic conditions (minimum of 6 hours non-stop at a time.)
