Job Overview We are seeking a motivated and reliable Independent Contractor Driver to join our dynamic transportation team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely and efficiently transporting passengers and goods across various local routes, ensuring timely deliveries and exceptional customer service. This position offers flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work independently while adhering to all traffic and safety regulations. Duties Operate passenger vehicles, including shuttle buses, limousines, or passenger vans, following designated routes and schedules Deliver goods or personal items using your own vehicle or company-provided transportation equipment Maintain a clean, safe, and well-functioning vehicle through regular inspections and basic maintenance checks Communicate effectively with clients to confirm pick-up and drop-off details, providing excellent customer service throughout each trip Adhere strictly to local, state, and federal transportation regulations, including traffic laws and safety standards Assist passengers or clients with boarding, exiting, and handling luggage or heavy items with proper manual handling techniques Navigate using GPS systems to ensure efficient routing and timely arrivals on all assignments Skills Proven experience as a delivery driver or bus driver with a strong understanding of local driving routes Familiarity with GPS navigation tools for efficient route planning and real-time adjustments Experience operating various passenger vehicles such as shuttle buses, limousines, or passenger vans Knowledge of state transportation regulations and commercial driving requirements Excellent communication skills for client interaction and coordination with dispatch teams Ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling luggage or cargo Strong customer service orientation with a professional appearance and demeanor Basic vehicle maintenance skills to troubleshoot minor issues and ensure vehicle safety at all times Experience in medical transportation or paratransit services is a plus but not required Ability to operate under strict adherence to traffic regulations while maintaining punctuality Join us as an Independent Contractor Driver and enjoy the freedom of flexible scheduling combined with the satisfaction of providing safe, reliable transportation services.
