A Stable, Professional Driving Role HireArt is hiring responsible, safety-focused drivers to support autonomous vehicle testing in Dallas. This is not gig work. This is a full-time driving position with steady hours and a 1-year contract. In this role, you'll operate and monitor self-driving vehicles, stay alert behind the wheel, and be prepared to take control if needed. Your focus is safety, awareness, and following established procedures. Your responsibility is professional, attentive vehicle operation and structured reporting. - Thursday What You'll Do Safely operate and monitor autonomous vehicles in real-world driving conditions Remain alert and ready to take control of the vehicle at any time Follow established safety procedures and operational guidelines Perform daily vehicle readiness checks Document observations and provide clear, structured feedback Interact professionally with engineers, riders, and operations staff Drive in various weather and road conditions This role requires focus, discipline, and strong defensive driving habits.
What We're Looking For We're seeking drivers who: Have professional driving experience Maintain a clean driving record Stay alert and distraction-free while driving Follow procedures and safety guidelines carefully Take ownership and responsibility on the road Communicate clearly and professionally Ideal backgrounds include: CDL / truck drivers Paratransit drivers Medical couriers Shuttle or bus drivers Autonomous vehicle operators Seasoned Rideshare drivers (in good standing) If you treat driving as a responsibility — not just transportation — you may be a strong fit. 3+ years of professional driving experience OR 4+ years of full-time, high volume, rideshare driving experience If you have an Uber Driver account, it must be in good standing (no deactivations or unresolved issues) Tech-savvy and familiarity with relevant software/apps such as: Workplace communication tools (e.g. Slack, Google Chat, or Teams) GPS apps (e.g. Google/Apple Maps, FedEx/Amazon, or routing apps) Must be 25 years of age or older (required for having an Uber driving account). A valid US driving license for the last 3+ years Must have a clean driving record with no DUIs, drug, and/or alcohol-related offenses within the last 5 years Able to anticipate hazardous situations and act quickly and safely, despite adverse conditions or the mistakes of others when operating a motor vehicle A willingness to work in various weather conditions and comfortable driving on different types of roads Have a thorough knowledge of local traffic regulations Excellent communication skills and a strong attention to detail Takes ownership with a high level of responsibility
Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years of professional driving experience OR 6+ years of full-time, high volume, rideshare driving experience Certification from safe driving or defensive driving courses Additional courses in
