Hampton, Full-time, On-site Make a Difference in Behavioral Health The Hampton-Newport News Community Services Board (H-NNCSB) is seeking a dependable and safety-focused Driver to join the team at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center in Hampton, VA. This position provides safe, reliable transportation for clients accessing essential behavioral health services and programs throughout Hampton Roads. You will operate a variety of vehicles, including sedans and passenger vans, and serve as a backup driver for our 27-foot Mobile Clinic. This is an opportunity to do meaningful work while supporting individuals and helping ensure they can access the care and services they need. Minimum qualifications: Valid Virginia driver's license and acceptable driving record. Six(6) months of experience driving large vehicles (such as buses, RVs or mobile units) or formal training in mass transit. What You'll Do As a Driver at the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center, you will: Safely transport clients to and from behavioral health services, appointments, and programs. Serve as a backup driver for the Mobile Clinic and assist with its safe operation. Complete routine vehicle inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe, and operational condition. Assist with the setup, movement, and operation of the Mobile Clinic as needed. Interact professionally and respectfully with clients, families, staff, and community partners. Follow all applicable safety procedures, traffic laws, and agency policies. Respond appropriately to unexpected situations while transporting clients. About the BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center The BJ Roberts Behavioral Health Center is a more than 20,000-square-foot facility serving individuals experiencing acute mental health needs. The center provides a calm, supportive environment designed to connect individuals with appropriate behavioral health services. The Driver also supports the agency's Mobile Clinic, which helps expand access to Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) for individuals with opioid use disorders who may have difficulty accessing traditional treatment locations.
