Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles such as box trucks or personal vehicles, adhering strictly to traffic regulations and DOT (Department of Transportation) standards Load, unload, and secure packages using manual handling techniques and material handling equipment like pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary Plan efficient delivery routes using mobile devices to maximize productivity and minimize delays Load packages onto your vehicle with proper manual lifting practices to prevent injury and ensure safe handling of heavy or bulky items Deliver parcels directly to customers' homes or businesses with professionalism, courtesy, and excellent customer service skills Maintain accurate delivery records, obtain signatures when required, and handle any delivery discrepancies promptly Conduct routine vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met and report any maintenance issues Experience Prior warehouse experience or experience in delivery driving is highly desirable Proven ability in commercial driving, including operating box trucks or commercial trucks Experience with personal vehicle delivery or courier services is a plus Knowledge of DOT regulations, traffic laws, and safe lifting practices in a workplace environment Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with clients Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type being operated; clean driving record required This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to contribute to a fast-paced logistics environment.
