Our mission is to connect individuals with essential transportation, including hospital discharges and disability assistance, across urban and rural areas to improve access and independence. Job Summary We are seeking energetic and responsible Carepool Drivers to join our dynamic team! As a Carepool Driver, you will be the vital link in delivering safe, efficient, and caring transportation services to diverse passengers, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, and children. Your role will involve navigating traffic confidently, assisting passengers with mobility needs, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations while providing outstanding customer service. Duties Safely operate vehicles including transit buses, school buses, and paratransit vans in accordance with traffic laws and transportation safety regulations Assist passengers with wheelchair assistance, child care needs, or other mobility support while maintaining their dignity and comfort Follow emergency response procedures for transportation incidents and execute emergency stop procedures when necessary Communicate effectively with passengers using multilingual skills if applicable, ensuring clear understanding of routes and safety instructions Respond quickly to traffic changes or route adjustments to maintain punctuality and service reliability Conduct vehicle inspections before and after shifts to ensure safety standards are met; report any maintenance issues promptly Adhere to school policies or senior care protocols when transporting students or elderly passengers Requirements Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; experience in bus driving or commercial driving preferred Knowledge of traffic laws, vehicle codes, and transportation safety regulations at state and local levels First aid certification (CPR training is a plus) and familiarity with emergency response procedures for transportation Experience working with children or seniors is highly desirable; excellent communication skills required Ability to perform heavy lifting when assisting passengers or handling equipment safely Defensive driving skills with quick response capabilities to traffic changes or hazards Multilingual abilities are a plus but not required; strong customer service orientation essential Must demonstrate responsible behavior management and adherence to all safety protocols Join us as a Carepool Driver and become part of a dedicated team committed to making transportation safe, accessible, and caring for everyone we serve!
