Job Description

JOB SUMMARY
The objective of the part-time Train Station Attendant at the Amtrak Train Station is to deal tactfully and courteously with the public and to represent Dodge City in a friendly and helpful manner. Hours may fluctuate weekly based on train schedule. Part-Time Temporary employees open the Train Station between 3:30 AM- 5:00 AM and/or 10:00 PM - 11:30 PM daily to greet the arriving and departing passengers operated by Amtrak Passenger Rail Service. Employees are required to stay additional hours at the station if the train arrives late and the passengers are unable to leave the station. Employees make coffee and perform light custodial work such as clearing snow and placing ice melt near the exits during the winter and ensuring that the station and bathrooms are clean before finishing their shift. Employees may perform light clerical duties as well.
