Overview:
Sugarloaf is now hiring dedicated outdoor enthusiasts to make snow at our resort for the coming winter season. Snowmaking is a crucial role at Sugarloaf to maintain a high quality snow surface across our resort terrain. Snowmakers are hardworking, steady, physically fit, and detail driven individuals that work day or night shifts to ensure the best possible conditions for skiing and snowboarding in the East. If you are as passionate about skiing/riding as we are, come join our team and help make our 2026-27 winter season the best one yet! Sugarloaf Snowmakers start at an hourly rate of $18/hr in their first season with wage increases possible in the first few weeks depending upon expereince and performance.
Responsibilities:
Operate snowmaking equipment on mountainous terrain in all types of weather including set up, start up, operation of, and shut down of snowmaking equipment, checking snow gun functioning capacity, and monitoring snow quality Inspect guns, hose, hydrants and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation Monitor performance as needed to ensure proper air/water combination and quality snow Must be able to work flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends, holidays, and be able to negotiate all types of terrain while maneuvering snowmaking equipment Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications:
Must be able to work a flexible schedule including day and night shifts, weekends and holidays, and must be able to negotiate all types of terrain while maneuvering snowmaking equipment. Must be willing to work outside in all weather conditions. All shifts available. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years old and able to lift, bend, kneel and carry a minimum of 50 lbs. to complete tasks.
