Job Description

Overview Sugarloaf is hiring Terrain Park Rangers for our coming winter season. This position is essential for maintaining all park elements in the terrain park in an effort to provide an enjoyable environment and the best terrain park experience for our guests. You must be comfortable interacting with guests for this job. Park Rangers educate users on Terrain Park and Pipe etiquette as well as monitor and maintain the energy in the terrain park through music, color, fencing, banners, flags, comradery and events. Safety and ensuring a great experience are major responsibilities for this role. This winter season role is expected to start at a wage of $16.50-19 per hour (depending upon experience) and has a December start date. If you enjoy sharing your love for park riding with others, this is the job for you! Responsibilities Monitoring and maintaining the designated music, fencing, banners, and flags. Keeping signage visible in the parks. Being knowledgeable of and educating guests on terrain park etiquette and Smart Style . Monitoring all elements for risk and closing elements that become unsafe to our guests until maintenance can be performed to reopen the feature. Completing tasks and required documentation as assigned by Terrain Park Manager Qualifications For this job you must: be able to ski or snowboard comfortably in a terrain park setting be willing to work in an outdoor environment in a variety of weather conditions be at least 18 years of age be able to exert a considerable amount of physical effort in order to complete daily tasks Sugarloaf Team Member Benefits include : Free lift pass for skiing and/or riding Discounts at resort F&B and retail locations Discounted ski/snowboard lessons and rentals Access to Nordic trails and discounted equipment rentals at our Outdoor Center location Discounted passes at other Boyne and partner resorts
