Starting Sept. 8 through April 30, dogs are allowed on the beach any time of day in Myrtle Beach. Also, dog and bicycles are allowed on the boardwalk at any time. Tents and canopies up to 12-by-12 square feet are allowed but must be behind the umbrella line. Umbrellas must be in line with or behind the lifeguards' line of umbrellas. In North Myrtle Beach, dogs and bikes are allowed on the beach at any time through May 15 and surfing and skimboarding are also permitted.
