Engineering Technician II (At-Sea) Integrits Corporation - 4.0 Ford Island, HI Job Details Full-time 1 day ago Qualifications English Metal fabrication Food preparation Welding Woodworking Full Job Description Summary The Engineering Technician II (At-Sea) will be responsible for assisting with the operation, maintenance and installation of the mechanical systems on MATSS and be located full-time on Oahu, Hawaii. The technician performs standardized or prescribed assignments involving a sequence of related operations, follows standard work methods on recurring assignments but receives explicit instructions on unfamiliar assignments. Tasks include following specific instructions to assemble, construct, or service equipment or parts. When mechanical work is not required the individuals shall perform deck work as directed, as well as preservation, cleaning, maintenance, fabrication, upgrade/expansion, and repair duties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Riding the MATSS vessel during all at-sea missions to participate in all at-sea operations including performing deck and rigging tasks, cooking, cleaning, conducting rounds, standing watch, participating in firefighting operations, and performing emergency repairs. The MATSS vessel is in port the majority of the year, while in port duties will focus upon maintenance of Hull, Mechanical & Electrical Systems that support the vessel. On site training is provided for task assignments including mechanical repairs, metal fabrication, hot work and corrosion control. Required Qualifications 2-year Technical School desired. Training and certifications in firefighting, ship damage control, rigging, crane operation, forklift operation, man-lift operation, first aid, automatic external defibrillators, and CPR are highly desired. 5 years of relevant work experience or graduated from a technical school with 3 years of relevant work experience. Relevant work experience including at-sea vessel operations (deck, rigging and line handling tasks, cooking, cleaning, conducting rounds, standing watch, participating in firefighting operations, and performing emergency repairs), Relevant work experience with in-port operations (rigging, crane operation, forklift operation, manlift operation), and maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, upgrades, fabrication, installation, operational and testing support of HM&E systems similar to those found on MATSS. Demonstrate familiarity with metal and wood working equipment, welding, cutting, pipefitting, and corrosion control. SECRET Clearance is required. Excellent English communication skills both verbally and written. Individual must have a sound working knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications, e.g., Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, etc. Must be able to successfully pass the required pre-employment screenings.
