Job Description

Rental Shop Team Members at Pete Lane's Mountain Sports deliver exceptional guest service by assisting guests with ski and snowboard rentals at Sun Valley Resort's three base area locations. Team members ensure a positive guest experience by providing properly fitted equipment, maintaining efficient shop operations, and finalizing rental transactions efficiently. Team members can ski or ride on their lunch break!
Duties & Responsibilities:
Deliver exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment Assist guests with selecting and fitting ski or snowboard equipment based on ability level and current conditions Adjust bindings and other equipment according to the manufacturer and company safety standards Explain equipment operation and safety features to guests Maintain organized equipment flow during both check-out and return Record rental and return times accurately using the point-of-sale system Inspect returned equipment for damage or wear; tag items in need of repair or maintenance Support general shop organization and cleanliness
Qualifications:
Prior ski/snowboard knowledge or rental shop experience preferred but not required Strong communication and customer service skills Ability to work mornings, weekends, holidays, and during peak periods Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds regularly and up to 50 pounds frequently Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with frequent guest interaction Engage in physical activities like standing for long periods, walking, and utilizing hands for tasks that involve gripping, handling, and reaching Ability to work well with a team and have positive, can-do attitude
