Job Summary Sweetwater Marine is seeking a dependable and hardworking Deckhand to support daily vessel and barge operations. This role is responsible for assisting the captain and crew with safe navigation, cargo handling, and general vessel maintenance. Deckhands play a key role in ensuring efficient operations while maintaining the highest safety standards on the water. Responsibilities Assist with securing, moving, and handling barges and tow lines Perform routine vessel maintenance, cleaning, and upkeep Help with loading, unloading, and securing cargo as needed Follow all safety procedures and company policies Support the captain and crew with day-to-day marine operations Qualifications Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions Strong work ethic and team-oriented attitude Willingness to work flexible schedules, including nights or weekends if needed Prior marine or deckhand experience preferred, but not required Pre-employment drug screen and physical required Job Type & Benefits offered: 14/7 schedule Employee paid medical & dental benefit Vision, life insurance, disability and more 401(k) with company matching Holiday pay
