U.S. JOB SUMMARY
The Maid of the Mist is looking for a positive, proactive Dock Attendant who enjoys interacting with both staff and guests! This role is accepting applications for both full-time and part-time seasonal positions. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for the ideal work-life balance. As a Dock Attendant, you will be a member of the Facilities Operations Team! As a member of the operations team, Dock Attendants are responsible for providing exceptional guest experience, maintaining the flow of the operation, and performing other related tasks based on the company's needs.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Assist and direct our guests to the location they wish to visit. (Director)
  • Scan and collect tickets for each Guest who will be boarding the boat tour. (Tickets)
  • Provide our guests with ponchos that are the appropriate size. (Tent)
  • Maintain a passenger count per boat trip. (Count)
  • Arranging for guests to enter the vessel in destinated waiting areas. (Pad)
  • Assist our guest during the vessel's onboarding and offloading process. (Pad)
  • Maintain the facility's upkeep throughout the day. (Ponchos)
  • Assists as directed in other tasks as business needs dictate.
  • Other duties or tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.
  • Capable of operating in a fast-paced, physically demanding atmosphere alongside peers.
  • Effective time management
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Must be able to maintain a stationary position throughout the shift
  • Essential physical requirements, such as moving and lifting boxes and other materials weighing 20 to 40 pounds around the facility
  • Is available to work on weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
ERGONOMIC REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, standing, stooping, bending, light lifting, carrying. All the ergonomic requirements must be performed without significant risk of injury to oneself or others or otherwise demonstrate or explain how one can perform essential functions listed above.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS
Must be able to clearly read, speak, and understand English. Ability to understand and execute complex oral and written instructions while working independently. Must be authorized to work in the US. Background check may be required.
