The Maid of the Mist is looking for a positive, proactive Dock Attendant who enjoys interacting with both staff and guests! This role is accepting applications for both full-time and part-time seasonal positions. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking for the ideal work-life balance. As a Dock Attendant, you will be a member of the Facilities Operations Team! As a member of the operations team, Dock Attendants are responsible for providing exceptional guest experience, maintaining the flow of the operation, and performing other related tasks based on the company's needs.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist and direct our guests to the location they wish to visit. (Director)
- Scan and collect tickets for each Guest who will be boarding the boat tour. (Tickets)
- Provide our guests with ponchos that are the appropriate size. (Tent)
- Maintain a passenger count per boat trip. (Count)
- Arranging for guests to enter the vessel in destinated waiting areas. (Pad)
- Assist our guest during the vessel's onboarding and offloading process. (Pad)
- Maintain the facility's upkeep throughout the day. (Ponchos)
- Assists as directed in other tasks as business needs dictate.
- Other duties or tasks may be assigned based on organizational needs.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
To be considered for the role applicants MUST meet the following criteria.- Capable of operating in a fast-paced, physically demanding atmosphere alongside peers.
- Effective time management
- Excellent communication skills
- Must be able to maintain a stationary position throughout the shift
- Essential physical requirements, such as moving and lifting boxes and other materials weighing 20 to 40 pounds around the facility
- Is available to work on weekends, early mornings, evenings, and holidays
