Job Description
As a Deckhand with ARAMARK in the accommodation and food services industry, you'll support safe, efficient vessel operations while delivering excellent guest service. Responsibilities include securing lines, maintaining decks and equipment, assisting with docking, handling supplies, and supporting basic cleaning and light maintenance. You'll follow all safety and sanitation procedures, assist crew and galley staff as needed, and respond to guest needs with professionalism. Responsibilities Assist with safe vessel operations, including docking and undocking procedures Secure lines, fenders, and equipment as directed by the captain or senior crew Maintain cleanliness and order of decks, railings, and common areas Perform basic maintenance tasks such as washing, sweeping, and simple repairs Load, unload, and store supplies, equipment, and provisions Follow all safety, emergency, and sanitation procedures and regulations Support galley and hospitality staff to ensure quality guest experiences Provide courteous assistance and information to passengers and clients Inspect equipment and report hazards, damage, or maintenance needs promptly Participate in required safety drills, trainings, and certifications Required Skills Deck operations and line handling Basic seamanship and knot tying Vessel safety and emergency procedures Cleaning and sanitation practices Basic maintenance and repair skills Manual material handling and loading Customer and guest service Hazard recognition and reporting Teamwork and communication Following written and verbal instructions
