Job Description

Join our team at Norton Yachts , a family-owned marine industry leader in Deltaville, Virginia, since 1948. We are looking for a dedicated Travel Lift Operator & Bottom Painter to help us deliver the dream of the boating lifestyle to our community. About the Role This dual-role position is critical to our yard operations, ensuring vessels are handled with the highest level of care and precision.
Travel Lift Operator:
You will be responsible for the safe hauling, launching, and blocking of powerboats and sailboats.
Bottom Painter:
You will perform essential hull maintenance, including pressure washing, acid cleaning, sanding, and applying high-quality anti-fouling paint. Key Responsibilities Operate travel lifts and hydraulic lifts to move vessels up to 50+ feet. Properly block and secure boats for land storage or service work. Execute professional "bottom jobs," including marking waterlines, dewaxing, and applying epoxy primers and ablative paints. Conduct hull inspections and assessments to identify necessary off-season services. Collaborate with our Ops Manager to maintain a tight schedule and meet customer expectations.
