Candidates holding a captain's license and possessing appropriate vessel-handling experience are also encouraged to apply. The yacht is currently located at the Hatteras facility in New Bern, North Carolina , where it is undergoing completion and service work. Once completed, the vessel will be based in Virginia Beach, Virginia . Position Responsibilities To include but not limited to: Assisting with vessel preparation, fueling, provisioning, and general upkeep Serving as a deckhand during cruising operations Handling lines, fenders, docking procedures, and other deck responsibilities Assisting the captain or owner with safe vessel operations Helping maintain the yacht in a clean, organized, and ready-to-operate condition Required Experience Candidates should have strong working knowledge and hands-on experience with: Interior cleaning of the yacht Experience handling lines and fenders Basic seamanship Experience handling lines and finders Exterior and interior cleaning of the yacht Exterior maintenance knowledge of waxing, polishing, stainless polishing, teak cleaning, varnishing, painting, etc. Varnishing and painting is not required, but certainly helpful if you have these credentials. Basic mechanical skills Tender driving ability Preferred Qualifications Previous experience aboard a motor yacht of similar size Experience operating or assisting with the operation of large motor yachts Ability to communicate effectively with owners, captains, shipyards, and marine service providers Professional appearance and a responsible, safety-conscious attitude Ability to travel and remain aboard the vessel when cruising schedules require it This is a full-time position with an anticipated salary of approximately $60,000 per year , depending upon the candidate's experience and overall qualifications.
