Ride Operator Wild Waves Theme & Waterpark Position Summary Ride Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of ride attractions while delivering friendly, attentive guest service. This role focuses on maintaining the highest safety standards, enforcing ride requirements, and ensuring guests have a positive and enjoyable experience. Skills, Requirements & Qualifications Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively Strong communication skills with guests, coworkers, and management Ability to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety Must be at least 18 years of age General Duties & Responsibilities Guest Service Greet guests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner Provide clear instructions and safety information to guests Safety Support Wild Waves' safety-first culture by promoting a safe working environment and enforcing ride safety rules Follow all ride operating procedures, manufacturer guidelines, and park policies Teamwork Work collaboratively with fellow team members and leadership to support park operations Cleanliness Maintain a clean and organized ride area, including loading and unloading zones and restricted areas
Specific Duties & Responsibilities Guest Interaction:
Greet guests approaching the ride and clearly communicate ride rules and safety requirements
Ride Operation:
Verify rider height and eligibility requirements, deliver safety spiels, secure restraints or safety devices, and enforce all ride rules
Safety Checks:
Perform pre-operational and ongoing safety checks throughout the day to ensure safe ride operation
Documentation:
Accurately complete required ride operation and safety documentation
Cleanliness:
Maintain cleanliness and organization of ride areas, queue lines, and back-of-house spaces Physical Demands & Work Environment Ability to stand and walk for extended periods Frequent bending, stooping, reaching, and use of hands and arms Occasional climbing or balancing Ability to lift and move up to 10 pounds regularly Vision requirements include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus Work may occur outdoors and is subject to varying weather conditions Noise levels may range from moderate to high Reasonable accommodations may be provided to support team members in performing the essential functions of this position.
