— 2024 RSR Most Outstanding DSP — is expanding our Mobile-area delivery operation and hiring Delivery Associates for a new Amazon delivery program that allows qualified associates to complete shorter delivery routes using their own personal vehicle.

Position Summary :

The primary responsibility of the TSO-PV Delivery Associate is to deliver packages to Amazon customers while driving routes in the TSO-PV Delivery Associate's personal owned or leased vehicle.

Minimum Required Qualifications:

• Personal Vehicle Required
• Ability to work [4 - 5 days a week, for at least 4 hours a day]
• Ability to safely operate a vehicle meeting the Vehicle Requirements below
• Ability to maintain focus and pay attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to speak, read, and write in English to communicate with the general public, to understand highway traffic signs and signals in the English language, to respond to official inquiries, and to make entries on reports and records
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with members of the public, coworkers, managers, and Amazon employees
• Ability to effectively operate a global positioning system (GPS) navigation system
• Ability to use electronic devices for route navigation and planning
• Ability to maintain basic logs and records
• Ability to carry out a series of instructions without constant supervision
• Ability to provide excellent customer service and satisfaction, despite potentially stressful events/conditions
• Ability to drive and deliver in all types of weather, and in all types of routes
• Ability to walk, lift, bend, reach above the head, kneel, crouch, twist, and/or stretch during shifts up to 11 hours long
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and sort boxes and packages weighing up to 50 pounds each on a frequent basis
• Ability to tilt, push and slide packages weighing between 50-70 pounds on and off a hand truck without a helper
• Ability to use a hand truck, Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., gloves, safety shoes, etc.), and straps
• Ability to see and avoid obstacles and tripping hazards
• Ability to complete required training
• Ability to wear an Amazon-branded vest while performing delivery services
• Ability to track and record mileage using mileage tracking technology provided by the Company's approved vendor
• Ability to climb up and down stairs frequently throughout the workday
• Ability to successfully handle and timely deliver customer packages
• Ability to timely report for scheduled shifts and maintain reliable attendance

Vehicle Requirements:

 Must be owned or leased by the TSO-PV Delivery Associate  Must be a 4-door vehicle  Must not exceed 17 feet in length unless otherwise authorized in writing by the Company  Cubic Cargo Capacity requirements: Mid-sized sedan: Minimum 25 cubic feet

Compact SUV:

Minimum 34 cubic feet

Mid-sized SUV:

Minimum 46 cubic feet

Maximum Cubic Cargo Capacity:

98 cubic feet Vehicles with Cubic Cargo Capacity over 98 cubic feet are not eligible, unless otherwise permitted by the Company in writing. Company Personal Mobile Device Requirements:

TSO-PV Delivery Associate must use personal devices meeting the following specifications: 

Android Devices:

Android 10.0 or above, 3GB RAM or higher, 5MP camera or higher, 4500mAh battery or higher, GPS Location Services, and SIM card capabilities; or  i

OS Devices:

iPhone 6s or newer, iOS 15 or higher.

General Responsibilities:

• Adhere to strict safety and quality standards on and off the road
• Safely drive and perform/submit to safety inspections of vehicle
• Follow all local and state laws, road/driving regulations, and Company policies
• Interact in a positive and professional manner with customers and general public while delivering products to customers' homes, retail, and business locations
• Keep pace in physically demanding job
• Follow up on customer requests or problems with solution-oriented approach, keeping customer informed of delivery progress
• Sort and prepare a delivery route to meet customer expectations
• Ensure vehicle is clean, fueled, and in good operating condition at all times
• May assist in training other team members
• Where appropriate, carry out delivery station activities including sortation and general tasks
• Provide rescue assistance to other drivers, if requested, once the driver has completed their route for the shift
• Track and record mileage using mileage tracking technology provided by the Company's approved vendor
• Perform other duties as assigned Work Environment

A TSO-PV

Delivery Associate drives an authorized personal vehicle to many customer residences and businesses, climbs in and out of the vehicle, and walks up and down stairs as required to deliver packages according to established procedures in all weather conditions

• TSO-PV Delivery Associates must not transport any passengers or additional riders in the vehicle during delivery operations. Only the assigned TSO-PV Delivery Associate may be present in the vehicle while performing delivery services
• Flexibility is key; routes may vary and may be delayed due to traffic from on-road congestion, construction, or other factors
• Full-time hours consisting of up to 40+ hours a week (x-x hours/day) (hours are not guaranteed).

There may be adjustments including, additional hours and potential schedule changes depending on time of the year and peak seasons and other factors.

Pay:

$19.00 per hour Expected hours: 10.0 - 30.0 per week Shift availability: Day Shift (Preferred) Night Shift (Preferred) Willingness to travel: 100% (Preferred)
