Full-Time Independent Contractor (1099) Job Description Breezeway Express LLC is seeking dependable and professional independent contractors with their own cargo van or sprinter van to deliver retail packages in the Montgomery, AL and Tuscaloosa, AL area. This operation runs 7 days a week, rain, sleet, or snow. Contractors are expected to complete their assigned route each day. Package volume, stop count, and route length vary daily. If you are unable to work your scheduled route, you must provide a qualified backup driver who meets all contract requirements to ensure the route is completed. Responsibilities Deliver retail packages safely and efficiently. Complete your assigned delivery route daily. Load, organize, and secure packages in your vehicle. Follow all delivery instructions and meet required delivery windows. Maintain accurate delivery records using the required delivery app. Obtain proof of delivery when required. Communicate promptly regarding delays, accidents, or route issues. Maintain a professional appearance and provide excellent customer service. Keep your cargo van or sprinter van clean, insured, and in safe operating condition. Requirements Must own a cargo van or sprinter van. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Must be at least 21 years old. Smartphone with reliable data service. Ability to lift and move packages of varying sizes throughout the day. Strong time management and organizational skills. Reliable transportation and the ability to work independently. Must have a qualified backup driver available if you are unable to complete your assigned route. Must be dependable and committed to completing routes as assigned.
