Responsibilities Safely operate your personal or company vehicle, including box trucks or vans, to complete delivery routes efficiently. Load and unload goods using manual handling techniques, pallet jacks, or material handling equipment while adhering to safe lifting practices. Verify delivery details, obtain signatures, and ensure accurate documentation for each shipment. Maintain compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and traffic laws during all driving activities. Communicate effectively with dispatch using mobile devices to confirm routes, report issues, or update delivery statuses. Provide excellent customer service by interacting professionally with clients during deliveries and addressing their needs courteously. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and perform basic maintenance checks to ensure optimal operation. Experience Prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or warehouse operations is highly desirable. Familiarity with commercial driving, especially operating box trucks or vans with manual transmissions. Hands-on experience with manual handling, moving heavy loads, and operating material handling equipment such as pallet jacks. Knowledge of route planning, adhering to traffic regulations, and safe lifting practices in a warehouse or delivery environment. Demonstrated ability to handle weight safely in the workplace while maintaining a high level of punctuality and reliability.
