Job Description
Job Description The Parts Dispatcher coordinates the routes the delivery drivers make to our local area customers. The Dispatcher must train each new parts driver and make sure that without exception, the Delivery Driver operates within the legal speed limits and in a safe fashion at all times. In addition, he/she will conduct vehicle safety inspections and support the parts department by putting stock away, pulling parts for delivery, and maintaining good housekeeping for the department. This position will also serve as an additional parts drivers to make deliveries to our customers. The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, an unrestricted driver's license and a clean driving record, strong computer and customer service skills, and excellent communication skills with the ability to give work direction and train the drivers. Candidates must be able to safely lift 50 pounds independently. Responsibilities Demonstrates our values in every aspect of the job Coordinates the routes for the parts drivers Pulls parts for delivery Complies with and enforces all safety policies and procedures Ensures the drivers maintain cleanliness of vehicles and performs routine maintenance tasks Obeys posted speed limits at all times and all other rules of the road Completes any reports or logs Delivers parts to designated accounts Pick up and deliver parts and equipment to customers, wholesale accounts and vendors Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred Parts knowledge and experience preferred Unrestricted driver's license and clean driving record for last three years Strong computer skills Must be able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds as needed Excellent communication, customer service, and problem solving skills, including the ability to maintain composure under stress Safety and customer service oriented Company Description Become a member of a winning team that offers growth opportunities, excellent earning potential, and leadership that fosters engaged team members.
