Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic delivery team as a Helper for Wayfair Delivery! In this energetic role, you will be an essential part of ensuring smooth, efficient, and safe deliveries to our valued customers. Your enthusiasm and commitment will help create a positive experience from the moment we load up to the final handoff at the customer's doorstep. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in delivery operations while working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Duties Assist with loading and unloading furniture, appliances, and other large items using appropriate equipment such as pallet jacks or forklifts when necessary Support the delivery driver in route driving, helping to ensure timely and accurate deliveries Help load items onto trucks, ensuring proper placement for safe transport Safely move heavy or bulky items within warehouses or customer locations, utilizing manual lifting techniques and moving equipment Collaborate with the delivery team to verify orders and ensure all items are accounted for before departure Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their deliveries and addressing any questions or concerns professionally Maintain safety standards during all phases of loading, unloading, and delivery operations Experience Prior experience in customer service or warehouse environments is highly preferred Delivery driver experience with box trucks or similar vehicles is a strong asset Familiarity with commercial driving, including manual transmission operation and route driving experience Ability to perform heavy lifting and moving of large items safely and efficiently Experience operating equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks is advantageous Knowledge of load & unload procedures, safety protocols, and proper handling of goods This role is perfect for motivated individuals eager to build their career in delivery logistics.
