Duties Safely operate various vehicles including commercial trucks and automobiles in compliance with DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safety standards. Plan and follow optimized delivery routes to ensure timely arrivals while maintaining flexibility for route adjustments. Load, unload, and secure merchandise using safe lifting practices, often involving heavy lifting or merchandising tasks. Communicate effectively with clients to confirm delivery details, answer questions, and build strong customer relationships. Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance issues promptly, and adhere to safe driving practices at all times. Upsell or promote additional products or services during deliveries to enhance sales opportunities. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, route logs, pricing adjustments, and client interactions for organizational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, heavy lifting, or automobile transportation with a solid understanding of safe lifting practices. Strong knowledge of route driving, traffic laws, DOT regulations, and safety protocols. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Basic math skills for handling pricing adjustments, measurements, or inventory counts. Retail store experience or merchandising background is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Customer service expertise with the ability to build rapport and handle client inquiries professionally.
