(AFTL) • San Leandro, CA Terminal • Covering Northern California About AFTL All Freight Trucking Inc. is a California-based trucking and logistics company that has been moving freight for the West Coast since 2002. From our Northern California terminal in San Leandro, we run last-mile delivery, LTL (less-than-truckload), cross-docking, 3PL, and same-day / next-day freight across a wide NorCal footprint — from the North Coast down through the Bay Area and into the Central Valley. We're an established carrier with a real terminal team and dedicated, recurring freight — not a gig app. The Opportunity We're contracting independent, non-employee drivers to run dedicated delivery routes out of our San Leandro terminal. This is a 1099 business-to-business engagement : you operate your own delivery business and contract with AFTL on a non-exclusive basis under a route/settlement agreement. You bring the equipment and the authority; we bring the freight and the dispatch support. If you own your vehicle (or a small fleet) and want steady, dedicated volume with a carrier that pays reliably, this is a strong lane to run. Where You'll Run We cover a wide Northern California footprint — from Crescent City on the far North Coast, through the San Francisco Bay Area , down to Fresno in the Central Valley, and everything in between. Routes range from dense metro delivery loops to long-distance outer lanes. You can run a route area that fits your equipment and how far you want to go. Pick up freight at the San Leandro terminal and complete last-mile and LTL deliveries across your assigned zone Meet same-day / next-day delivery windows Capture proof of delivery and report any OS&D (over, short, damaged) exceptions through AFTL's process Keep clear communication with dispatch and customers throughout the route What You Bring Operate as a business (B2B): Registered business entity and EIN (LLC, S-corp, or sole proprietor with a business license) Your own delivery vehicle — [cargo van / box truck / straight truck] — in good, DOT-compliant condition Motor Carrier authority (MC/DOT number) Commercial auto liability and cargo insurance meeting AFTL's minimums Willingness to contract on a non-exclusive basis Driver qualifications: Valid California driver's license Clean motor vehicle record (MVR) Current DOT medical certification Smartphone capable of running our scanning / routing app Ability to safely lift and handle freight Reliable, professional, and customer-facing Coverage Zones & Pay Tiers Because a dense Bay Area metro loop and a long run to the North Coast are very different jobs, we don't pay them the same. Settlements are zone-tiered by distance and route type , so every lane pays for the actual work it takes. Short, high-density routes pay by the stop; longer and lower-density outer lanes carry a line-haul (and, where applicable, a fuel component) so your miles and time are covered even when the stop count is low.
The result is straightforward:
you're paid fairly for the lane you run, and AFTL keeps every corridor — including the hard-to-cover far-north and Central Valley runs — reliably staffed. 1099 independent contractor — settlements paid semi monthlya via direct deposit Consistent, dedicated route volume so you can plan your week Rates set per tier above — ask dispatch about the lanes and zones open now Why Partner with AFTL Fair, distance-based pay — every lane is priced for the work it actually takes, so long runs stay worth it Dedicated freight, not gig volatility — recurring routes and predictable volume Established carrier operating since 2002 Direct dispatch and a real terminal team in San Leandro backing you up Fast, reliable weekly settlements How to Apply Email [ ] with: Your name and business/entity name Driver's license class and vehicle type Insurance and MC/DOT authority status Your home base and how far out you're willing to run (helps us match you to a zone) This posting is for an independent contractor (1099) business-to-business engagement, not employment. AFTL contracts with independent businesses on a non-exclusive basis. AFTL is an equal opportunity company and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected status.
