Responsibilities Safely operate various vehicles, including commercial trucks and automobiles, adhering to all DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations and safe lifting practices. Plan and follow efficient delivery routes, ensuring timely arrival at each destination. Load, unload, and secure merchandise with proper heavy lifting techniques to prevent damage or injury. Build positive relationships with clients through professional communication and attentive service. Conduct routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and compliance. Upsell additional products or services when appropriate, enhancing customer satisfaction and sales outcomes. Maintain accurate delivery logs, route documentation, and inventory records for organizational efficiency. Skills Proven experience in commercial driving, route driving, or automobile transportation. Strong math skills for pricing calculations, measurements, and basic accounting tasks. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with customers and team members. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while following proper lifting practices. Retail store experience or merchandising knowledge is a plus for understanding product placement and presentation. Knowledge of sales techniques and customer relationship building to foster repeat business. Familiarity with DOT regulations, safety standards, and heavy vehicle operation requirements. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently while maintaining attention to detail.
