Job Overview Our company cleans and remanufactures diesel filters for large diesel trucks and engines. We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver/ Shop worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting diesel filters to and from our clients while ensuring timely and safe deliveries. Some of these filters can weigh up to 40 lbs. When not delivering, this person will work in our shop to help in the cleaning and remanufacturing of these filters. This role requires a strong sense of responsibility, attention to detail, and excellent driving skills. Turnaround time is critical on this job, as when a truck loses one of these filters, they are "down" and it can cost the company 1,000's of dollars per day. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction through efficient service. Duties Safely operate delivery vehicles, typically pick up trucks, to transport goods to designated locations. Follow efficient routes to ensure timely deliveries while adhering to traffic regulations. Load and unload items ensuring that all items are secured for transport. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations. Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logging information in an online routing and tracking system Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status and any potential delays. Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries or concerns during deliveries. Assisting in the cleaning process in the shop in between deliveries. Skills Proficient in driving with clean driving record. Experience with route driving and commercial driving is preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills for interaction with customers and team members. Physical stamina for moving items and performing manual tasks as required.
