Job Description
Shipping Department:
Job description: We are seeking a motivated individual to join our company as a Delivery Drive and Shipping & Receiving Associate. As part of our team, you will represent our company a delivery driver to deliver products promptly to our customers; representing our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction. During the time you do not have any scheduled deliveries, you will assist our shipping and receiving department by receiving packages, parcels, and supplies, store items in the appropriate areas, and inspect and prepare items for shipping. This is a position that requires a highly organized personality. You must pay close attention to small details while managing the logistics of a high volume of items entering and leaving the facility. You must be able to lift up to twenty pounds unaided and be able to bend, crouch, and lift items throughout your shift.Responsibilities:
- Deliver products to different addresses;
- Follow time schedules;
- Pick up product from vendors;
- Load, unload, prepare, inspect and operate a delivery vehicle;
- Complete logs and reports;
- Follow all DOT regulations and safety standards;
- Receive, upload, and process incoming shipments;
- Inspect deliveries for damage or discrepancies;
- Organize and store received items in designated storage areas;
- Operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment as needed;
- Assist with order fulfillment by picking and packing items for outgoing shipments;
- Maintain a clearly organized workspace
Requirements and Experience:
- Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
- Have a valid professional driver's license
- Have a clean driving records
- Forklift experience and certification
- Prior warehouse experience (preferred)
