Responsibilities, Deliver and install furniture to residential homes Meet delivery schedules Document and log miles spent driving Ability to speak and read English Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures (doesn't apply to the helper position) Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions (doesn't apply to the helper position) Collect and verify delivery instructions Report defects, accidents or violations Skills
• Proven work experience as a truck driver (doesn't apply to the helper position) Ability to drive long hours (doesn't apply to the helper position) Extensive knowledge of applicable truck driving rules and regulations (doesn't apply to the helper position) No recent moving or driving violations (doesn't apply to the helper position) Adaptability and foresight to handle unexpected situations (traffic, weather conditions etc) Valid driving license (doesn't apply to the helper position) Driver and helper must have a clean background, driver must have a clean driving record Must be able to past a drug test
